    About Me: As you know, my name is Kate and I'm an actor. I've been acting since I was 9 years old, doing school plays like everyone else. I knew I wanted to do this as a career and did every play I could. Now, I am not in any way a ham. People have to beg me to perform but when I do, I really enjoy it. On the stage, I love the live audience. In front of the camera, I enjoy the character work. Seven years ago, I gave up my acting to have a family. I never thought I would go back to it but late last year something stirred in me. By March, I was struggling and finally gave in. I realized that I have to pursue my acting career. I have to be an actor. Away from acting, I love to play tennis, walk, swim, play with my daughter, dance, watch movies and good television and read good books.
    Music: I like all music especially jazz. Feist,Colbie Cailat,Snow Patrol, Finger Eleven and Linkin Park are favorites. To relax, I do like classical.
    Movies: The Philadelphia Story, Sleepy Hollow, Pride & Prejudice, It's a Wonderful Life, Moonstruck
    TV: Coupling(UK), The Office(UK), Pushing Daisies, American Dad, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Weeds, Sally Lockhart Mysteries(PBS), anything on Masterpiece and Mystery on PBS!
    Books: Birdsong, Northanger Abbey, An Actor's Guide to Getting Work (I'm reading all right now). I have always been a huge reader. I love biographies, historical fiction, some fiction (I'm picky).
    Likes: Silence, the ocean, spending time with my daughter, reading, being with people with a wicked sense of humor!
    Dislikes: Disrespect for others. I live by the motto: Treat others as you would want to be treated.
    Heroes: My hero is my Dad. He is fighting the battle of his life right now: cancer. He and I are very close; very like-minded. We have almost everything in common and can talk about anything. He is amazing. So Brave, my dear Father. I Love You.
